Personal Leadership Plan<\/a><\/p>\n

The four basic questions that Quinn and Spreitzer (2004) would have you ask are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Intention – What result do I want to create?<\/li>\n
  2. Integrity – Am I internally directed?<\/li>\n
  3. Subordination – Am I other-focused?<\/li>\n
  4. Adaptability – Am I externally open?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Only by asking these questions, can you move from a “Normal State” to the “Fundamental State of Leadership” in anything you do.<\/p>\n

    So, how is this tied to Technology?<\/p>\n

    In order for technology to be connected to your goals as a leader, you have to assess for each question whether or not technology is legitimate or whether it is a distraction.<\/p>\n

    In the first question, you have to establish your vision of what you want to accomplish.\u00a0 Now – is technology in it or is it absent from that picture of what you believe in?<\/p>\n

    In the second question, you are asking whether or not you are being authentic and true to your personal values.\u00a0 Now – is technology supportive of your personal values or is in conflict with them?\u00a0 Does technology co-exist in your world?<\/p>\n

    In the third question, you find your attachment to others.\u00a0 Since empathy is the focus, you are asking yourself if you believe in providing support, encouragement, coaching, etc.\u00a0 Now – does technology play a role in this?\u00a0 Do you see technology helping you to accomplish this or is it a stumbling block that is better put on the side while you deal with the human equation?<\/p>\n

    Finally, the fourth question asks you to consider whether or not you have an open mind.\u00a0 Are you encouraged by intellectual stimulation and do you seek expanded consciousness?\u00a0 Now – are you open to the views that are expressed with regards to technology?\u00a0 Can you embrace a future that utilizes technology to achieve new perspective and new values?<\/p>\n
