We continued our learning on seasons. We went on a forest walk to observe and explore our environment. Here are some of our noticing\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The trees:<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image30-20150908-1003-e1441981239449.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1192\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image30-20150908-1003-e1441981239449-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image30-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tomasz: \u201cthe wire is around the bottom of trees so that the beavers don\u2019t eat them. It is to protect the trees.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Alex: \u201cThe tree is broken because it has tipped over.\u201d<br \/>\nTomasz does not agree: \u201cIt is still growing because there are\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image3-20150908-0959-e1441981519384.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1226\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image3-20150908-0959-e1441981519384-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image3-20150908-0959\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>some green leaves on it.\u201d<br \/>\nSome of the students agree with Tomasz and some don\u2019t. They all agree that they need to do some more observations.<\/p>\n<p>We looked at the difference between small trees and big trees and agreed that the big trees were older.<br \/>\nGabi: &#8220;This tree may be 100 years old!\u201d<br \/>\nSafia:\u201cThere is also a wire cage on it to stop the beavers eating it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mushrooms:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image8-20150908-1003-e1441981655855.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1242\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image8-20150908-1003-e1441981655855-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image8-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Nick: \u201cthe mushrooms are growing out of the tree, but it is not safe to eat. You cannot eat it.\u201d<br \/>\nSoeun: \u201cThere are two mushrooms!\u201d<br \/>\nVeronika: \u201cThere are 2 mushrooms because it\u2019s a big place so enough room for 2.\u201d<br \/>\nTomasz: \u201cI saw a big, huge mushroom at the forest in Poland.\u201d He thinks if we look carefully we may find one as big in our forest.<\/p>\n<p>We noticed the mushrooms in the tree but also that there were some smaller mushrooms <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image16-20150908-1003-e1441981730623.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1259\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image16-20150908-1003-e1441981730623-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image16-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>on the floor of the forest.<br \/>\nNick: \u201cThey have leaves around them.\u201d<br \/>\nAlexandra: \u201cThe mushrooms are brown and smaller than the ones in the tree.\u201d<br \/>\nAltai: \u201cThe leaves are over them so they don\u2019t get wet if it rains.\u201d<br \/>\nMrs. Zurfluh: \u201cDo mushrooms need rain or water?\u201d<br \/>\nNick: \u201cMushrooms need rain because everything dies if there is no rain.\u201d<br \/>\nAlexandra: If no rain and the mushrooms would die.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bird house. This caused a lot of discussion with the students.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image10-20150908-1003-e1441981680866.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1247\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image10-20150908-1003-e1441981680866-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image10-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Alex: \u201cBirds live in it.\u201d<br \/>\nGabi: \u201cBirds live in trees so why do they need to go to a bird house?\u201d<br \/>\nTim agreed with Gabi.<br \/>\nAltai: \u201cBecause it\u2019s cozy and looks like a house.\u201d<br \/>\nAmie: \u201cBecause there is food in the bird house.\u201d<br \/>\nAlex: \u201cYes, people put food in the house in case there is no food for the birds in the trees.\u201d<br \/>\nTomasz: \u201cIt\u2019s a small house, only small birds can go into it.\u201d<br \/>\nJulia: \u201cOnly a few birds will be able to eat at one time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The beavers den.<br \/>\nNick: \u201cThere are flowers growing around the beavers\u2019 den.\u201d<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image32-20150908-1003-e1441981267270.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1196\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image32-20150908-1003-e1441981267270-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image32-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAlexandra: \u201cFlowers also grow on the grass.\u201d<br \/>\nAlex: \u201cThey also grow on the ground.\u201d<br \/>\nMrs. Zurfluh: \u201cDo you think beavers like flowers?\u201d<br \/>\nNick: \u201cBeavers like trees and bees like flowers!\u201d \u00a0 \u00a0Alexandra: \u201cBees get nectar from the flowers.\u201d<br \/>\nSafir:\u201cButterflies also like flowers.\u201d<br \/>\nWe are still wondering and trying to find out whether beavers like flower.<\/p>\n<p>Many ducks live in our forest.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image16-20150908-0959.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1258\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image16-20150908-0959-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image16-20150908-0959\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Gabi: \u201cI saw 17 ducks.\u201d<br \/>\nAlexandra: \u201cDucks quack!\u201d<br \/>\nNick: \u201cDucks like bread.\u201d<br \/>\nJulia: \u201cDucks like to swim.\u201d<br \/>\nMrs Zurfluh: &#8220;Ducks also stick their heads under water, I wonder why?\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cTo find food.\u201d<br \/>\nAmie: \u201cOne Duck made a big splash when it landed on water.\u201d<br \/>\nAlex: \u201cDucks can fly and they can swim.\u201d<br \/>\nVeronika: \u201cDucks can swim really fast!\u201d<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image15-20150908-1003-e1441981741581.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1257\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image15-20150908-1003-e1441981741581-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image15-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On our way to the forest Alex noticed how green the forest looked. He wondered \u2013 \u2018if the forest is always green or if it changes.\u2019 We decided to take a photo of Alex in front of the forest and then next time we go back to see if we notice any changes.<\/p>\n<p>We took a photo of KZE on the bridge. The boys were <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image17-20150908-1003-e1441981769675.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1261\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.aas.ru\/kze\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/09\/kaymbu-image17-20150908-1003-e1441981769675-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"kaymbu-image17-20150908-1003\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>especially interested in the structure of the bridge! Nick and Tim were sure that boats would not be able to go under the bridge but Nick had a good solution!<br \/>\nNick: \u201cBoats cannot but submarines can!\u201d<br \/>\nGabi: \u201cAND paper boats!\u201d<br \/>\nAltai: \u201cAND remote control boats!<\/p>\n<p>We will go back to the forest soon. \u00a0We are wondering what we will see next time&#8230;<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After our discussion on cycle.
